What is the difference between an autoclave and a sterilizer?

You can use an autoclave as a sterilizer, but you cannot necessarily use a sterilizer as an autoclave. This has to do with the operation of an autoclave. This is because there is an important difference between an autoclave and A sterilizer . A sterilizer uses only heat (dry) to sterilize, while an autoclave uses steam, heat and a vacuum to sterilize. You can sterilize less versatile objects in a sterilizer. For example, it is not possible to sterilize hollow instruments in a sterilizer. This is possible with an autoclave.

What can I sterilize in a B-Autoclave?

A B-Autoclave is the most versatile type of autoclave, in which you sterilize various objects such as medical instruments and dental instruments. Compared to an N or S-class autoclave, you also sterilize hollow and packaged instruments in a B-class autoclave. As a result, (B) autoclaves are required in many practices, in connection with hygiene guidelines.

How long does something sterile remain after autoclavering?

Does an autoclave have a water reservoir?

All B-Autoclava autoclaves are equipped with a water tank. So you do not have to connect your autoclave to the water pipe. This means that you can easily install and use your autoclave yourself. It is important that you are demineralized or distilled for this Water in the autoclave used.

Autoclave maintenance
